NYC DJ and Nightlife Pioneer Kimyon Huggins Is Leaving Bushwick After 25 Years

Kimyon Huggins, a longtime community builder, DJ, and event producer who helped shape Bushwick’s creative scene for over two decades, is leaving the neighborhood after 25 years. Known for his work through No Agenda Studios and the “Future Is Now” project, Huggins cultivated a space for thousands of artists out of his apartment on Broadway. After a rent hike doubled his monthly cost and a promised buyout fell through, he made the difficult decision to relocate with his wife and son. Days later, the family was involved in a devastating car crash en route to Ohio, leaving his wife hospitalized and temporarily halting their move. They’re now asking for help covering medical bills and emergency housing through a public fundraiser.
